Happy Thanksgiving 2010

We drove up to Maine for Thanksgiving with Nana, Grandfather, Auntie Lynne and Uncle Mark. Sadie enjoyed some fresh air, playing puppets with Auntie Lynne and visiting.

Sadie sits up - November 22

And suddenly, one day, Sadie just sits up!

Sadie uses a cup - November 20

Sadie is still getting the hang of eating solid food, but she is taking to the cup very quickly. She loves her water in her sippy cup - look at her big smile!

Video - Sadie on the Move - November 16

Sadie is starting to squiggle all around the floor and get into all the toys.

NYC Marathon - November 7

Sadie, Nia, Mommy, & Daddy took the train into the city to watch a bit of the marathon. It was very crowded, but lots of fun to see all the runners. We went to watch one of Daddy's friends. We did see him run by and he finished in 3 1/2 hours! Great job Derek!

Halloween Parade - October 31

The town of Irvington sponsors a Halloween Parade, which is more of march, because no one is actually watching the parade, everyone is marching in it. It ends at the school and there are goody bags for all the kids and a band. All around good family fun. Sadie had a nice stroll in the parade in her ladybug costume.

Sadie's first Halloween Party - October 22

Sadie is dressing up as a ladybug this year, for her first Halloween. Irvington is so close to Sleepy Hollow and there is so much going on for Halloween that we have to start celebrating the weekend before. Here is Sadie in her costume at the church Halloween party.

Sitting up skills - October 21

Sadie is able to sit up with the support of her hands. She's getting strong!

Visit to Pepsi - October 20

We went to Pepsi to visit Daddy for lunch. Pepsi has a beautiful campus - a sculpture garden, koi ponds, and great walking paths.

Sadie is 6 months old - October 17

Sadie is a very healthy and happy 6 month old baby. She weighs 16 pounds 2 ounces (50th percentile) and is 25 1/4 inches long (25-50th percentile).
She rolls and rolls and rolls! She prefers to be on her tummy now, so if you put her down on her back, she'll roll over quickly. She is starting to sit up with the support of her hands. She also laughs - loves it when Daddy plays peek-a-boo, Mommy tickles her on the changing table, and when Nia laughs with her. She is starting to babble (I think I've heard da-da) and coos a lot. She loves to be talked to and be part of the conversation. Another mother at Nia's pre-school commented that Sadie was participating in our conversation with her eyes and looked just like she was following our conversation and chatting with us! She also loves her feet - no toys needed, just feet.
She doesn't seem to love eating solid food just yet, so Mommy is still working on that.

Nana and Grandfather Vist - October 10

Nana and Grandfather drove down from Maine to our new place in Irvington, NY to help us unpack and of course, visit with Nia and Sadie. They were a big help with unpacking boxes and cooking and playing!

Jumperoo - October 10

Sadie has found the Jumperoo / Exersaucer and she just loves it. She is fascinated by standing up, so this is great. She also loves to twist around to all the different toys. Imagine what she'll think when we get batteries in all of it and makes different noises.

Video - Twists and Squiggles - October 9

You can see how close Sadie is getting to rolling over. She can get her hips all the way over, but that darn shoulder is in her way.
